FAQs
What are you interested in tattooing?
Anything botanical/ flora and fauna. Bugs, native plants and flowers to the Sierra. My style is what I consider fine line black & grey illustrative work. I tattoo in an illustrative style, and although I try to stay as true to the subject, I do NOT do realism. I also enjoy tattooing in an American Traditional style!
When do your books open?
Books open once a month for the following month, date varies on the month- I’ll post on my story updates the week leading up to the date my books open. Please fill out a booking form- however this does not guarantee you an appointment. I’m usually unable to accommodate last minute appointments, however never hesitate and reach out because sometimes I have last minute openings!
How much will my tattoo cost?
Palm size (2”-3”): $250-$350
Hand size (4”-5”): $350-$500
6”+: $500+
Full day sessions, which are for people wanting 3+ hand sized tattoos or large scaled pieces (anything larger than 7”), will start at $1000.
Discounts are applied if you get more than one design during your appointment.
These prices vary while guesting at other studios to cover my travel costs and chair rent.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Make sure to avoid alcohol 24 hours before your appointment since alcohol is known to act as a blood thinner. Sleep, hydration, and a hearty meal is very important before coming in.
Can I bring someone to my appointment?
If you’d like to bring a buddy, please give me a heads up to accommodate. Our studio space is small and sometimes more than one guest can’t be accommodated.
How do I take care of my tattoo?
I offer two options for aftercare. If you do not have any allergies to adhesive, I HIGHLY recommend second skin. However, if your skin tends to be on the sensitive side, we can go the saran wrap route.
Second skin adhesive: leave on for 1-3 days. During the days you have the second skin on, please do NOT workout as the sweat will irritate the tattoo under the bandage. The best way to remove the adhesive is in the shower/under running water. Pull the bottom corner downward and let the water run through. After taking off the second skin, rinse the tattoo with a non-scented antibacterial soap such as Dial Gold and cold water. You will want to repeat this process once a day for the next week/ anytime after working out. If there is any excess adhesive that didn’t come off, you may use isopropyl alcohol ONLY on the adhesive and not the tattoo.
Saran wrap: leave on for 1-2 hours. Do NOT leave it on longer. Rinse the tattoo with a non-scented antibacterial soap such as Dial Gold and cold water. You will want to repeat this process once a day for the next week/ anytime after working out.
No matter which aftercare route you go, PLEASE do not submerge/ go swimming for at least 3 weeks. Remember, this is an open wound. You may apply a thin layer of non scented lotion or coconut oil once a day/whenever the tattoo is feeling itchy. Your body knows how to heal a tattoo, let it do it’s thing. You are responsible for the tattoo when you leave the studio. Although infection isn’t common, it’s most likely to occur during the healing process.
What is the best way to pay for my tattoo?
I accept Venmo Cash or Zelle.
Do you accept tips?
Tips are never expected but super appreciated. The service standard is 20% but not required. I also love non monetary tips like plants, trinkets, bones, art, anything really!
What if I need a touch up?
I offer free touch ups at least one month after the appointment. I always want to make sure you love your tattoo and are confident with it. If at any time during your regular appointment you feel like you’re on the fence about shading or detail and would rather “live with the tattoo” for a bit or see how it heals before committing to extra details, you could book for a “touch up”.
